Chris Edwards earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Ohio University, a MS in Geoscience from The University of Texas and an MBA from the University of Denver. He began his career in the oil and gas industry in Houston with ExxonMobil, working in exploration and development roles in the US and internationally, onshore and offshore. After moving to Anadarko Petroleum, Chris further built experience across the spectrum of the oilfield life cycle – including exploration concept generation, risk analysis, peer review facilitation, investment portfolio management, concept marketing / partner relations coordination, budget allocation, appraisal program planning, drilling and full field development planning. He brings with him technical and management experience in many of today’s key US basins across the Rockies, Texas, Midcontinent, Gulf Coast and Appalachian regions. He currently serves as Vice President of Exploration and Geoscience for Whiting Petroleum.
