Whiting Corporate Giving
Whiting Petroleum Corporation believes we have a responsibility to leave a positive impact on the communities where we do business. We strive to protect the health and safety of our employees and contractors, the land, air and water where we operate and the future of our industry. We strive for this by building trusted relationships with our employees, customers, landowners and investors and by leaving a lasting economic and social benefit in our operating areas.
Whiting Petroleum Corporation considers grant proposals from non-profit organizations within the communities we operate that focus on:
At Whiting, developing a sustainable workforce for the energy industry is important to us. We invest in institutions with successful engineering, science, math and business programs. We also support the teachers that educate and inspire our future employees.
Health & Safety
Safety is always our highest priority. We strive for our employees and the communities we work and live in to be healthy and safe.
Our operations have a significant connection to the environment. Protecting the land, air and water where we operate is our responsibility. We work to produce oil and gas responsibly, reduce our impact on the environment and to conserve natural resources.
We have and are prepared to assist relief agencies after natural disasters affect the areas where we operate and live.
It is our social responsibility to meet the needs of the communities in which we operate and live. We want to enhance the quality of life and do our part to make our communities healthy, safe and eminently livable.
We support our employees as they make contributions of their time and skills to communities and organizations. We also match monetary donations to the organizations our employees support.
